Canoas, Brazil, 1994.

Lives and works in Porto Alegre.

Henrique investigates the use of new media as political and poetic tools, aiming to understand them as instruments for the emancipation of new narratives and contexts. Recently, he has focused his research on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, using these technologies as sensitive expressions of autofiction, memory, and affective spatialities.

He took part in the FACT Liverpool / KinoBeat international residency program, where he developed new research in dialogue with both local and global contexts, focusing on rivers and climate change.

He holds a master's degree in Visual Poetics from PPGAV-UFRGS. Among his main exhibitions are participation in the FLAME TP Video Art Fair (Taipei, Taiwan), the solo show Funk Ficção (Salamanca, Spain), and the group show Crash (Zipper Galeria, Brazil).

He was awarded the 10th Marcantonio Vilaça Visual Arts Award, and his work is now part of the collection of the Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana in Porto Alegre.
