fossil: documents of memory, for the ConectArt BR research, coordenated by Dra. Maria Amelia Bulhões
“Fossil: Documents of Memory” reflects on preserving Vila Fernandes and Canoas through 3D scanning, creating “digital fossils” as poetic archives of disappearing places, affections, and everyday scenes. The project connects personal memory, territory, and public space, working with error, texture, topology, and virtual environments. It explores how walking, drifting, and recording become artistic methods shaped by time, loss, and belonging.
This research, titled Virtual Realities: self-fictions, affection and memory in virtual environments, investigates my artistic poetics through virtual exhibitions and VR tools. It focuses on themes of self-fiction, affection, and memory while exploring experimental methods for creating virtual spaces. The study seeks new aesthetic possibilities that enable collaboration and artistic co-creation. It also offers a brief theoretical overview of these practices within contemporary art. The work discusses artists and thinkers aligned with the approaches developed in this investigation.
